Leenah arrived in this world suddenly and with violence. Her awakening found her amid the carnage of a heroic battle, deep within the confines of an evil shrine. Though without memory, she instantly recognized her foe to be a corrupt Deva, now a Rakshasa, named Meghraj. The summoning prayers of an Erathian Paladin sang in her ears, awakening her devastating power. She quickly engaged Meghraj with deadly precision, cutting down the backward-handed creature with vengeance. Only the Paladin, Celeres, and his wizard companion, Niall, remained standing. Four others lay still, intertwined among the dead Rakshasa. Niall seemed convinced that he summoned Leenah into this world, although admittedly by some coincidental providence. It matters not to Leenah.
Upon exiting the evil site known as the Temple of Yellow Skulls, she traveled with Celeres and Niall to Fallcrest, the largest city in the region. She stayed a short time with her sudden companions. There, Celeres met his end when he exposed corruption within his own temple. Assassins caught the Paladin, his body was found at Knights Gate by the morning guard. Despite Niall’s protestations and without Celeres’ support adherents of Erathis ran Leenah out of Fallcrest on a rail. She was forced to wander the valley in search of her purpose.
Faint whisperings from Amaunator across the planes tell her that her soul was brought here for a purpose greater than the slaying of Meghraj. Perhaps fulfilling this destiny will grant her transcendence and true peace. In the remaining months of summer she has traveled the breadth of the Nentir Vale seeking knowledge of this place. The dwarves of Hammerfast turned her away from their ancient stores of knowledge, while Harkenwold opened its library to her research. Sadly, its young lore did not provide that what she sought. She will have to look further.
As interest in the Harkenwold library waned, word has come to Leenah from Lord Kamroth to return to Fallcrest. He guaranteed her free movement within its walls despite any Erathian ill will. Her talents are needed to put down a giant uprising in the Stonemarch. No word has come from Winterhaven since the attack. A new party of heroes is being assembled to investigate the reports.
